The New Path to Purchase: The Big Shift in Consumer Behaviour

Did you know that the average consumer checks out an average of 7 different sources to gather information about a product? I just did this when searching for a digital SLR camera. First Amazon, then Canon, then Twitter, then Google, then Best Buy, all so I could make an informed purchase decision. Digital has completely shifted consumer behaviour and the path to purchase. Consumers are shopping online, buying in-store and shopping in-store and buying online. It’s time to bridge both the online and offline worlds. Technology is heavily integrated into nearly every shopping decision and retailers now have to reach their shoppers on a variety of digital touch-points.
I created a slideshare that highlights this new shift in consumer behaviour and how retailers and brands can quickly adapt.
