We wanted to go the extra mile to get our sports and outdoors brands in front of some sporting goods retailers and play a bit of matchmaker. (Reading time: approximately 4 minutes) The holiday shopping season will be here before you know it and while brands and retailers have spent the past few months planning their marketing campaigns, many have not taken the steps to ensure that their eCommerce stores are prepared to handle the additional surge in web traffic. (Reading time: approximately 5 minutes) Black Friday is coming. This used to be an American tradition that occurred on the fourth Thursday of every November, after American thanksgiving. It has been a pretty amazing few weeks here at Hubba. After revealing our $11M funding round and hiring Johnathan Nightingale as our first Chief Product Officer, it is nice to be back so soon reporting on other Hubba news. I am very pleased to announce that Saul Colt is joining us as Director of Non-traditional marketing.
Today, I get to ensure both team and product are in great hands by welcoming the first Chief Product Officer to Hubba, Johnathan Nightingale. While many people celebrate the funding itself, what I celebrate is that we built a strong enough company to support such a large round. It is a small nuance, but it is important one if you want to understand how we think.
If you’ve been hanging out around here for the last few months, you’ve heard about Walmart’s new online content initiative, and how you can use Hubba to match your current information to their specifications. With the deadline to have your products into their system coming next week on October 1st, our customer success team have been keeping busy fielding questions and helping out the fantastic members of our community.
