Night Market Takes Over Internationally Renowned Queen West District

Last Thursday, Hubba took over the internationally renowned Queen West district in Toronto to host the first Queen West Night Market. Armed with a #QWNM map, passersby had the chance to head into stores and try wonderful food samples from independent food brands. If you were in the area and noticed the air was filled with murmurs about decadent truffles and chocolate covered crickets (what?!), you may’ve missed the chance to meet some of the amazing people on the strip.

What was the Queen West Night Market?

Hubba worked to connect local stores on Queen Street (between Peter and Palmertston) with wonderful brands to create two solid hours of mouth-watering goodness. Iconic stores like Outer Layer joined forces with Gyllies to bring you a new cricket snack, and Goorin Bros. took an evolutionary step from stylin’ hats to launch a bourbon toothpick (ya… we said BOURBON).

Check out what retailers had to say about #QWNM:

“Our merchants from the evening reported a lot of people came in just because of you guys and it helped us pick up our foot traffic for sure. Love to chat soon and would love to be a part of an event like this again! Cheers!” – Goorin Bros

“The staff at Walking on a Cloud was super nice, your wonderful team was a delight to share with and every passerby seemed enthusiastic and interested. If you have any other event coming up, know that we will gladly partake.” –  Camellia Sinensis

“For two hours, consumers chased the Hubba map looking for the next tasty morsel. While The Duke Brothers was out pouring cold pressed coffee, Elea Olive oil was delighting customers with a wonderful olive oil and balsamic vinegar bread dip.”

We’d love to thank the stores that joined in the fun and opened up space for us:

The Cure Apothecary, Voluptuous, Hayley Elsaesser Fashion, Jacob & Sebastian, Cannon Blanc, Naked Bodyz, Morba, Chatelet Home, Nuvango, Exclucity, Opticacl Thirty 8, Walking on a Cloud, Outer Layer, Yo Sox, Gafas Optical, Selftraits, Fiveoseven Clothing, Freddy Pant Room, Kiehl’s, Baily Nelson, Tatyana, and Goorin Bros.
