With a background in the arts, home décor, and fashion marketing, Julia Drechsler’s venture into entrepreneurship was a no-brainer. After moving to the U.S. just five short years ago, Julia’s long-time personal friend and owner of DONKEY products, Florian Berger, reached out with the idea to work together. In 2015, Zeitgeist Gifts was born.
Currently the official U.S. partner of DONKEY products, Zeitgeist Gifts is a self-professed “urban e-store” which sells an assortment of modern and eclectic gifts, home accessories, and kids’ toys. “I wanted to promote and sell products in the U.S. that I can personally relate to, designed by people I really like and appreciate, and of course, to bring a piece of my German heritage to the United States,” explains Julia.
How Hubba Helped
As a mother of two, Julia often finds herself starved for time, and appreciates the convenience of having a wealth of industry connections right at her fingertips. Still in the earlier stages of her business, the effort that goes into finding viable partners that have the potential to help grow her brand isn’t always feasible. Hubba helps alleviate the stress that many mompreneurs like Julia might face. “[As a mom] I’m trying to get this business up and running. I can only do what I can […] I think [Hubba is] an amazing opportunity to connect with interesting people that you wouldn’t find otherwise,” she explains.
Not only does Hubba’s vast network of over 40,000 brands, retailers, and influencers make it possible for small brand owners like Julia to find like-minded connections but Hubba Accelerate makes it easier than ever to develop working relationships with them as well. In just weeks, Julia was able to find and connect with quality influencers to collaborate with, several of which messaged her back to tell her how excited they were about her brand. “I’m actually sending out samples today!” she exclaims during a follow-up phone call.
Hubba may be a digital platform, but once you’ve made an online connection, the offline opportunities are endless. As a brand, Hubba Accelerate gives you the tools you need to put your best foot forward. Once our Community Managers have done all they can to ensure your success, we take a step back and let you decide who you’d like to work with.
Don’t forget to connect with Julia on Hubba!
