With a background in the arts, home décor, and fashion marketing, Julia Drechsler’s venture into entrepreneurship was a no-brainer. After moving to the U.S. just five short years ago, Julia’s long-time personal friend and owner of DONKEY products, Florian Berger, reached out with the idea to work together. In 2015, Zeitgeist Gifts was born.
Currently the official U.S. partner of DONKEY products, Zeitgeist Gifts is a self-professed “urban e-store” which sells an assortment of modern and eclectic gifts, home accessories, and kids’ toys. “I wanted to promote and sell products in the U.S. that I can personally relate to, designed by people I really like and appreciate, and of course, to bring a piece of my German heritage to the United States,” explains Julia.
How Hubba Helped
As a mother of two, Julia often finds herself starved for time, and appreciates the convenience of having a wealth of industry connections right at her fingertips. Still in the earlier stages of her business, the effort that goes into finding viable partners that have the potential to help grow her brand isn’t always feasible.
